APM withdraws appeal before Supreme Court

Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has withdrawn its appeal before supreme court.

APM is challenging Bola Tinubu’s victory at the Supreme Court on 10 grounds, including:

Tinubu was not qualified to contest for the presidential election on the grounds that he forged his academic certificates.
Tinubu was not validly nominated as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shettima, was nominated twice for different positions by the APC in the 2023 general elections.
INEC failed to electronically transmit polling unit results to its Results Viewing (IReV) portal in real-time, which gave Tinubu an unfair advantage.

There was widespread vote manipulation in favor of Tinubu.

Tinubu did not secure 25% of the valid votes cast in at least 24 states of the federation, as required by the Constitution.
The APM is praying the Supreme Court to nullify Tinubu’s victory and declare the election null and void.

However on Monday, the party withdrew its appeal, marking an end to expectations of a landmark case that will have a significant impact on Nigerian politics.
